‘RHONY’ Star Erin Lichy and Husband Sued For Unpaid Rent

Erin Lichy, a star of the reality TV show “Real Housewives of New York City,” is facing a lawsuit from her landlord over unpaid rent. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Erin and her husband, Abraham Lichy, owe a whopping $43,950 in unpaid rent for their New York City loft.

The couple has been renting the two-story apartment since July 2019, but the landlord claims they failed to pay the agreed rent and other charges between October 2021 and July 2023. This has resulted in a substantial balance accumulating over time.

The lease agreement stated that Erin and Abraham were supposed to pay a monthly rent of $13,500, due on the first of each month. However, the landlord alleges that they often paid late, didn’t pay late fees, bounced checks, and sometimes didn’t pay rent at all.

Now, the landlord is seeking to recover the unpaid rent of $43,950 plus interest, as well as an additional $12,900 to cover their legal fees in the case.

Interestingly, Erin and Abraham claim to be shocked by the lawsuit. They point out that the landlord previously wrote a glowing letter of recommendation for them when they moved out. The couple’s representative argues that this letter further establishes that they were exemplary tenants and left on good terms.

Erin and Abraham’s representative stated, “This lawsuit has no grounds and is just an example of someone trying to get their 5 minutes at someone else’s expense.”

While the legal battle unfolds, it remains to be seen how the court will rule in this case. The dispute serves as a reminder of the importance of fulfilling contractual obligations and paying rent on time to maintain a good relationship with landlords.
