Jenelle Evans, former star of “Teen Mom,” has filed court documents in North Carolina to separate from her husband, David Eason. While divorce is not officially on the table at this time, it seems to be the next step in their relationship. The court filing, as reported by The Sun, includes allegations of erratic behavior, substance abuse, refusal to work, and other disturbing incidents involving David.
One of the reasons cited for the separation is David’s reported abuse of Jenelle’s teenage son, Jace. Last summer, Jace ran away multiple times and told police that David had assaulted him. David is currently facing criminal charges for allegedly abusing the teenager, including misdemeanor child abuse and felony assault by strangulation.
Jenelle also mentioned a recent attempted break-in at her home in North Carolina, but notably did not mention David’s involvement in the incident. The court documents state that the separation date is February 16, and Jenelle is seeking primary physical custody of their daughter, Ensley, as well as child support. She is also requesting control of the family home and a majority of their marital assets.
While Jenelle has not commented on the situation, it is clear that their separation is shaping up to be messy. It is unfortunate to see a family going through such turmoil, but it is important for Jenelle to prioritize the safety and well-being of herself and her children. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Jenelle and David, but it is clear that their relationship is in a difficult and tumultuous place.
