Pedro Pascal is known for his incredible acting skills, but it seems like his mind works in a completely unique way when it comes to learning lines. In a recent interview with his colleagues for a fundraiser put on by SAG-AFTRA, Pedro shared his “psycho” way of memorizing lines that left his fellow actors in awe.
During the interview, Pedro pulled out a piece of paper covered in what looked like a complex code, rather than a typical script. His colleagues, including Billy Crudup, Matthew Macfadyen, and Kieran Culkin, were visibly confused by the method, with Culkin even calling it “gibberish.” Pedro explained that he uses the first letter of each word in his lines and organizes them into columns as a way to memorize the script.
Despite the unconventional nature of his method, Pedro admitted that it works for him. He joked that he might be mistaken for The Unabomber, but it’s a technique that helps him drill the information into his memory. While his colleagues seemed skeptical, Pedro’s success in the industry speaks for itself.
Pedro Pascal is currently nominated for the “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series” Screen Actors’ Guild award, showcasing his talent and dedication to his craft. On top of his award nominations, Pedro recently secured a role as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in future Marvel “Fantastic 4” projects, further solidifying his place in the industry.
It’s clear that Pedro Pascal won’t be changing his unique memorization technique anytime soon. While it may seem unconventional to others, it’s a method that works for him and has helped him achieve success in his career. As long as Pedro continues to deliver outstanding performances, his “psycho” way of learning lines will be just another part of what makes him a truly exceptional actor.
