Cher’s Son Elijah Offers Extra Reasons Why He Doesn’t Need Conservatorship

Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, is pushing back against his famous mother’s attempts to gain conservatorship over his estate. In newly obtained legal documents, Elijah and his wife, Marieangela King, outline why they believe Cher should not have control over his affairs and make some serious accusations in the process.

Elijah asserts in the documents that he is now sober, paying his bills, and committed to managing the quarterly payments he receives from the trust set up by his late father, legendary musician Greg Allman. Cher has expressed concerns about her son’s substance abuse and mental health issues, claiming that he is incapable of managing his finances. However, Elijah denies these allegations and insists that he is capable of taking care of his own affairs.

Marieangela takes the accusations against Cher a step further, alleging that Cher orchestrated a kidnapping of Elijah and had him held against his will at a Mexican rehab facility. According to the documents, Elijah was brought to Mexico under the pretense of receiving holistic alternative therapy but was actually being held in what Marieangela describes as a “makeshift prison-type facility known as the ‘Baja Rehab’.” She claims that she had to travel from Los Angeles County to Rosarito daily to rescue Elijah from the facility. After two months of captivity, Mexican federal agents escorted him out and dropped him off at the border.

Cher has vehemently denied these kidnapping allegations. Marieangela also criticizes Cher’s ability to serve as Elijah’s conservator, stating that she is “categorically unfit” for the role. She claims that Cher does not drive, make her own food, or dress herself, and has described herself as “manic depressive.”

Despite Elijah’s claims and the serious accusations made by Marieangela, a court hearing is set for March 6 to determine whether Cher will be appointed as Elijah’s conservator. It remains to be seen how the court will weigh these conflicting claims and allegations.

In the meantime, the public will have to stay tuned for further developments in this ongoing family dispute.
