Cher Once Again Denied Conservatorship Over Son Elijah Allman

Cher’s ongoing battle to put her son, Elijah Blue Allman, into a conservatorship took another turn as a judge once again denied her request. The judge stated that Cher and her team had not proven that Elijah lacks the capacity to handle his own affairs, and that a bipolar disorder diagnosis does not automatically make someone incompetent.

Cher has been vocal about her concerns regarding her son’s ongoing battle with addiction and his ability to manage his finances. She claims that the regular payments he receives from a trust fund left behind by his late father, Gregg Allman, are at risk of being squandered. However, Elijah has refuted these claims, stating that he has cleaned up his act and is handling his money responsibly.

The court acknowledged that Elijah has provided evidence of his sobriety and financial responsibility in recent paperwork. The judge set a future trial date to finally settle the matter and suggested that Cher and Elijah consider mediation.

Cher appeared remotely during the hearing, while Elijah, his wife, and their lawyers were present in court. TMZ caught up with Elijah and his legal team after the hearing, indicating that the case is far from over.

This ongoing legal battle highlights the complexities of conservatorships and the challenges in determining an individual’s capacity to handle their own affairs. While Cher is concerned about her son’s well-being, the court has deemed it necessary to thoroughly assess Elijah’s abilities before granting a conservatorship.

It remains to be seen how this case will ultimately be resolved, but for now, Elijah has once again avoided being placed under a conservatorship. The trial and potential mediation will likely provide further insight into the situation and determine whether or not a conservatorship is necessary for Elijah’s overall welfare and financial stability.
