Two balls that Tom Brady used to throw touchdown passes in one of his Super Bowl victories are now up for sale. The balls, which were used in the Patriots vs. Seahawks matchup in Super Bowl XLIX, will be auctioned off by the Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house.
One of the balls was thrown by Brady and caught by Rob Gronkowski for a score in the first half of the game. The second ball was thrown by Brady to Danny Amendola for a touchdown late in the contest. Brady and the Patriots went on to win the game with a score of 28-24.
The Gronkowski ball actually tied Brady with Joe Montana for the most touchdown passes in Super Bowl history with 11. The touchdown pass to Amendola ended up breaking that record.
Both balls were signed by Amendola and Brady, with Danny writing on the ball, “Super Bowl XLIX Game Used TD Ball.” Amendola also wrote a personalized letter that will accompany the ball, ensuring its authenticity.
Experts at Gotta Have Rock and Roll anticipate that both balls will fetch $1 million each by the time the auction ends on February 23. So, if you’re a die-hard Tom Brady fan with a hefty bank account, this is your chance to own a piece of Super Bowl history.
Good luck to all the bidders!
