Trump Jr. Blasts Montana GOP After Pro-Trump Speaker Is Uninvited

Donald Trump Jr. recently criticized the Montana GOP for disinviting a pro-Trump speaker from a state convention. Alex Bruesewitz, a conservative political consultant and avid supporter of Donald Trump, was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Montana GOP convention. However, his speech was canceled due to criticisms of Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale.

In response to the news, Donald Trump Jr. expressed disappointment in the Montana GOP’s decision, stating, “It’s really disappointing to see some Republicans in Montana engage in leftwing cancel culture. It’s even more disappointing that they would target one of my father’s strongest and most loyal supporters – Alex Bruesewitz.”

Bruesewitz, who is a friend of the Trump family, has been a vocal critic of Rosendale, accusing him of being a “poser” funded by the Democrats. He claims that his criticism is based on Rosendale’s perceived “disloyalty” to the former president.

However, allies of Rosendale have pushed back, suggesting that Bruesewitz has ulterior motives. They believe that Bruesewitz is trying to help entrepreneur Tim Sheehy win a Montana Senate race that Rosendale is expected to join in March.

Bruesewitz sees the disinvitation as further proof of Rosendale’s disloyalty to Trump and his allies. The Montana Freedom Caucus stated, “When you publicly attack one of Montana’s best, you should not be invited to speak to the Montana GOP.”

Despite Rosendale’s denial of involvement in the decision, this move is seen as a sign of the deteriorating relationship between him and Trump’s allies. This follows a series of events, including Rosendale’s delayed endorsement of Trump’s 2024 run and his refusal to take Trump’s call in January.

Donald Trump Jr., along with Sen. Marsha Blackburn and former advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle, were among those who criticized the disinvitation.

This incident comes amid a contentious GOP primary race, with Trump emerging as the front-runner. Trump recently rejected a proposal by RNC allies to declare him the “Presumptive Nominee,” insisting on securing the nomination through the ballot box. This contradicts the RNC’s current stance, which Haley is now questioning.

According to Real Clear Politics, Trump holds 73.6% support among GOP voters at the national level, while Haley trails with 18.8% support.

In conclusion, the disinvitation of pro-Trump speaker Alex Bruesewitz from the Montana GOP convention has sparked criticism from Donald Trump Jr. and others. It highlights the growing tension between Rep. Matt Rosendale and Trump’s allies, as well as the ongoing GOP primary race.
