Trump Challenger Nikki Haley Says ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’ Despite Ex-President’s Lead In Polls

Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, is making headlines as she refuses to drop out of the presidential race, despite trailing behind former President Donald Trump in the polls. Haley made her intentions clear during a speech at Clemson University, where she dismissed calls for her to exit the race as coming from the “political elite” and “party bosses.”

In a recent interview with NBC News, Haley stated, “Some of you — perhaps a few of you in the media — came here today to see if I’m dropping out of the race. Well, I’m not. Far from it.” Despite facing criticism for her decision to stay in the race, Haley remains resolute in her campaign for the presidency.

Haley has not held back in her criticism of Trump, calling him a “disaster” for the GOP and accusing other Republicans of being too afraid to speak out against him. Despite trailing Trump by over 20 points in recent polls, Haley believes that Trump is not a viable candidate for the general election.

On the other hand, Trump’s campaign team is confident that he will secure enough delegates to clinch the Republican nomination by March 12. They have dismissed Haley as “irrelevant and not newsworthy,” and are already planning for the general election campaign.

Haley’s determination to continue her campaign emphasizes the need for voters to have a real choice in the election. She stated, “That’s why I refuse to quit. South Carolina will vote on Saturday. But on Sunday, I’ll still be running for president. I’m not going anywhere.”

Haley’s criticism of Trump comes amidst a series of legal challenges facing the former president. Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has labeled the cases against him as a “witch hunt.” Despite this, Haley has indicated a willingness to pardon Trump if she wins the election, stating, “It’s not a matter of innocence or guilt. I believe in the best interest of bringing the country together, I would pardon Donald Trump.”

As the presidential race heats up, Haley’s decision to stay in the race despite trailing in the polls sets the stage for an interesting showdown between her and Trump. Only time will tell how this will impact the outcome of the election and the future of the Republican party.
