Travel South Dakota to Host Annual Customer Service Seminars Across Seven Locations

Travel South Dakota is gearing up to host its annual customer service seminars across seven locations in the state. The seminars, which are designed to help businesses in the tourism industry improve their customer service skills and enhance the overall visitor experience, will take place throughout the month of October.

The seminars will cover a variety of topics, including effective communication with customers, handling difficult situations, and creating memorable experiences for visitors. Participants will also learn about the latest trends in customer service and how to incorporate them into their own businesses.

“We are excited to offer these seminars to businesses in the tourism industry,” said Jim Hagen, Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Tourism. “Customer service is a vital component of the visitor experience, and these seminars will provide valuable insights and tools to help businesses elevate their customer service to the next level.”

The seminars will be held in seven locations across the state, including Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Deadwood, Pierre, Mitchell, Aberdeen, and Spearfish. Each seminar will feature expert speakers and interactive workshops to help participants apply what they’ve learned to their own businesses.

In addition to the seminars, Travel South Dakota will also be offering a Customer Service Excellence Award to businesses that demonstrate exceptional customer service throughout the year. Winners will be announced at the end of the seminar series and will receive recognition and a plaque to display in their business.

Businesses in the tourism industry are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to enhance their customer service skills and improve the overall visitor experience. By investing in customer service training, businesses can set themselves apart from the competition and create loyal customers who will return again and again.
