Tammy Sytch, also known as Sunny in the wrestling world, is settling into her new home at the Lowell Correctional Institution in Florida after being sentenced to 17 years behind bars for a fatal drunk driving incident. The 51-year-old WWE Hall of Famer doesn’t look thrilled in her new mugshot, but she will have to make the best of her situation until her release date in 2040.
The move from the Florida Women’s Reception Center to Lowell Correctional Institution was a short one for Sytch, as the facilities are located just a mile apart. Lowell is an all-women’s prison with around 1,000 inmates and offers a variety of programs for its residents, including cosmetology, cooking, equine care, and heavy machinery operation. These programs can help inmates like Sytch pass the time and acquire new skills during their time behind bars.
One of the challenges Sytch may face in prison is dealing with her alcohol addiction, which she has struggled with in the past. However, Lowell Correctional Institution offers aid to inmates battling substance abuse issues, so she may have access to resources to help her overcome this challenge.
In terms of food, Sytch will have a rotating menu of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Lowell. While it may not be gourmet cuisine, the prison offers a variety of dishes such as oatmeal, pancakes, meatloaf, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fish patties, turkey hot dogs, and more. Sytch will have the opportunity to try different meals each week, providing some variety in her diet.
Additionally, Sytch may have the opportunity to work while in prison, although she does not currently have a work assignment. Holding a job can help inmates pass the time, learn new skills, and potentially earn a small income.
