In a recent episode of their podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” former “GMA3” anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach opened up about their shared fear of being trapped. This fear, known as cleithrophobia, is defined as the fear of being unable to escape a certain place or environment.
T.J. Holmes took the lead in explaining the difference between cleithrophobia and claustrophobia. While claustrophobia is the fear of being stuck in a small space, cleithrophobia is simply the fear of not being able to get out of a certain place. T.J. elaborated, saying, “If you’re claustrophobic, you see a small space, you see that elevator and you go, ‘Oh God.’ And you get anxiety, that’s claustrophobia. The other is, when I see the small space, I got no problem getting in that space. But if that buzzer goes off and I’m trapped in here now, it’s a totally different situation.”
Amy Robach agreed with T.J.’s explanation, stating that it perfectly described her own fear. Both T.J. and Amy admitted to feeling terrified over the prospect of being unable to escape something. While they may view this shared fear as a way to bond, others may interpret it differently.
The couple has been incredibly honest about their relationship on their podcast, often discussing both the highs and lows. Just last week, they were heard arguing on the show. Now, their discussion about their fear of being trapped seems to address their own real-life situation, hinting at possible trouble in paradise.
Of course, it’s possible that we are reading too much into their words. However, their open and candid discussions about their relationship have given listeners a glimpse into their lives, and it’s hard not to wonder if there might be underlying issues at play.
Regardless, we can only hope that everything is alright between T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. Relationships have their ups and downs, and it’s natural for couples to face challenges along the way. Perhaps their shared fear of being trapped is just another hurdle for them to overcome together.
