Report: Seahawks agree to 1-year deal with OL Connor Williams

The Seattle Seahawks have bolstered their offensive line by signing former Miami Dolphins guard Connor Williams to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. The agreement, which includes $3 million guaranteed, was reported by ESPN on Tuesday night.

Williams, 27, started all nine games he appeared in for the Dolphins last season. Over his six-year career in the NFL, he has played in 83 games, starting 77 of them, and has accumulated 5,064 offensive snaps.

Originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2018 draft, Williams spent four seasons with the team before joining the Dolphins in 2022. His versatility and experience make him a valuable addition to the Seahawks’ offensive line.

With Williams now in the fold, Seattle looks to solidify its protection for quarterback Russell Wilson and open up running lanes for star running back Chris Carson. The Seahawks are aiming to bounce back from a disappointing 2022 season and compete for a playoff spot in the highly competitive NFC West division.

Williams’ signing adds depth and talent to the Seahawks’ offensive line, providing stability and reliability in the trenches. His presence will be crucial in helping the team achieve its goals for the upcoming season.
