Although the dishes they ordered weren’t necessarily Mexican, CJ’s was happy to accommodate their cravings. Biden and Bass paid separately, with their teams taking care of the bills using their respective credit cards. However, Biden made sure to leave a generous $20 tip, paid in cash.
Despite the high-profile visit, CJ’s remained open to the public, with Biden even taking the time to snap photos with the managers and owners of the restaurant. After his meal, the President headed to a local library to deliver a speech before continuing his tour of L.A. with a police escort surrounding his motorcade.
Following his time in Los Angeles, Biden is set to travel to San Francisco before wrapping up his California tour and returning to Washington D.C. to attend to official duties.
