‘Porky’s’ Star Tony Ganios Dead at 64, Suffered Heart Attack After Surgery


Tony Ganios, best known for his role as Meat Tuperello in the cult classic film “Porky’s,” has tragically passed away at the age of 64. The actor’s fiancée, Amanda, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, revealing that Tony had been battling a severe spinal cord infection that ultimately led to his untimely death.

According to Amanda, Tony was rushed to a New York hospital on Saturday after he began feeling unwell. It was then discovered that he was suffering from a spinal cord infection, which required immediate surgery. Sadly, Tony experienced a fatal heart attack while recovering from the procedure the following day.

Amanda expressed her devastation over the sudden loss of her partner, revealing that they had been planning their wedding just the week before. The couple had been together for at least nine years, and Amanda described Tony as her heart, soul, and best friend.

In addition to his iconic role in “Porky’s,” Tony appeared in a number of other memorable films, including “The Wanderers,” “Back Roads,” “Continental Divide,” “Die Hard 2,” and more. He also had roles in various television shows, such as “Wiseguy” and “The Equalizer.”
