On the other hand, Team Liquid dominated Shopify Rebellion with a clean 2-0 victory, with Sweden’s Michael “miCKe” Vu putting up an impressive K-D-A ratio of 9.0/2.5/8.0.

The second phase of the tournament will see the remaining eight teams compete in a round-robin format of best-of-two matches. The top four teams will move into the playoffs’ upper bracket, while the lower four teams will head to the lower bracket. The double-elimination playoffs are set to take place from August 2-4, with all matches being best-of-three until the final, which will be a best-of-five showdown.

In Friday’s matches, other teams also made their mark, with Cuyes Esports, Yellow Submarine, beastcoast, and 1win securing important victories. On the other hand, teams like Evil Rabbit and Apex Genesis managed to stay alive in the tournament by defeating their opponents in elimination matches.

As the competition heats up, the Saturday schedule promises more exciting matchups, including clashes between teams with 2-1 records and teams fighting to stay alive with 1-2 records.
