HRAWI Commends New Tourism Initiatives By Maharashtra Government

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) has commended the new tourism initiatives taken by the Maharashtra government. The state government recently announced a slew of measures aimed at boosting tourism in Maharashtra, including the launch of a new tourism policy, the setting up of tourism development boards, and the establishment of a tourism promotion council.

The new tourism policy aims to promote Maharashtra as a preferred tourist destination by focusing on niche tourism segments such as adventure tourism, ecotourism, and wellness tourism. The policy also aims to improve tourism infrastructure in the state by developing new tourist circuits, promoting homestays and farm stays, and creating tourism hubs in rural areas.

The establishment of tourism development boards for key tourist destinations such as Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nagpur is expected to streamline the development of tourism infrastructure and promote tourism activities in these areas. The boards will work in collaboration with local stakeholders to identify key tourism projects and attract investment in the sector.

The tourism promotion council, on the other hand, will focus on marketing and promoting Maharashtra as a tourist destination both domestically and internationally. The council will work closely with tour operators, travel agents, and other stakeholders in the tourism industry to promote Maharashtra as a preferred tourist destination.

HRAWI has welcomed these initiatives and believes that they will go a long way in boosting tourism in Maharashtra. The association has expressed its commitment to working closely with the government to support and promote these initiatives.

According to HRAWI President, Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, “The new tourism initiatives announced by the Maharashtra government are a step in the right direction towards promoting tourism in the state. We believe that these measures will help in attracting more tourists to Maharashtra and boosting the state’s economy. HRAWI is committed to working closely with the government to support and promote these initiatives and ensure their successful implementation.”

Overall, the new tourism initiatives taken by the Maharashtra government are a positive development for the tourism industry in the state. With the support of industry stakeholders like HRAWI, these initiatives have the potential to transform Maharashtra into a leading tourist destination in the country.
