Five NFL Players Under the Most Pressure in 2024

The NFL preseason is in full swing, and teams are gearing up for the start of the regular season. As players across the league prepare for the upcoming campaign, there are a few individuals who are under immense pressure to perform in 2024.

One player who is feeling the heat is Daniel Jones, the quarterback for the New York Giants. Jones has had a rocky start to his NFL career, with inconsistent play and injuries hindering his progress. With the Giants rumored to have interest in other quarterbacks before the draft, Jones needs to step up and prove his worth this season. With weapons like Malik Nabers and Saquon Barkley at his disposal, there are no excuses for Jones to underperform in 2024.

Stefon Diggs, the wide receiver for the Houston Texans, is another player facing pressure this season. After a slight dip in production with the Buffalo Bills in 2023, Diggs needs to return to form and be the top option in Houston’s offense. The Texans made moves to bolster their roster this offseason, and Diggs needs to show that he can be a reliable target for young quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, is also on the hot seat in 2024. The Bears have surrounded Williams with talented receivers like Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, setting him up for success. If Williams cannot live up to expectations on an improved Bears team, his future in Chicago could be in jeopardy.

Tee Higgins, the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, is in a contract year and must perform at a high level to secure a lucrative deal. Higgins has the opportunity to help the Bengals compete in a tough division and showcase his skills to potential suitors in free agency.

Lastly, Micah Parsons, the edge rusher for the Dallas Cowboys, is expected to be a key player for the team in 2024. Parsons is a favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year and needs to lead a Cowboys defense that is under pressure to perform. With questions surrounding the offense and coaching staff in Dallas, Parsons must be a stabilizing force for the team.

As the NFL season kicks off, all eyes will be on these players as they look to meet the high expectations placed upon them in 2024. Only time will tell if they can rise to the occasion and deliver for their respective teams.
