A couple is taking legal action against the popular celebrity hotspot, Craig’s, after they claim to have been robbed at gunpoint outside the restaurant. The incident, which was caught on camera, has left Felipe Darrell and Terry Christanio outraged and seeking justice.
According to the couple, they were leaving Craig’s after a dinner in August when three armed men approached them in the valet area. The surveillance video shows the suspects throwing a man to the ground and ordering a woman to get on the pavement. Felipe and Terry allege that the robbers stole Felipe’s Rolex and necklace, and both feared for their lives during the ordeal.
Felipe and Terry are now suing Craig’s and its owner, Craig Susser, claiming that he has shown no concern for their well-being because they are not famous. They argue that the lone security guard at the restaurant was too distracted taking photos of other guests to notice the men casing out the area. The robbers were even parked at the valet when they hopped out of their car to commit the robbery.
The couple believes that Craig’s should have beefed up security in response to similar incidents that occurred at other popular restaurants in the West Hollywood area last summer. They feel that the restaurant’s negligence contributed to the robbery and want Craig’s to be held accountable.
Felipe and Terry attempted to meet and discuss the incident with Craig Susser, but claim that he ignored their offer. As a result, they have decided to file a lawsuit to ensure that Craig’s is held responsible for what they see as negligence.
The incident occurred over five months ago, and Felipe and Terry are frustrated by the lack of response from Craig’s. They hope that their legal action will bring attention to the issue and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
TMZ reached out to Craig’s for comment but has not yet received a response. The couple remains determined to seek justice and hold the restaurant accountable for the traumatic experience they endured.
