Brewers’ Colin Rea to face Braves’ Bryce Elder instead of Chris Sale

The Milwaukee Brewers will be facing off against the Atlanta Braves in a three-game road series starting on Tuesday. The Brewers will have Colin Rea on the mound, while the Braves will counter with Bryce Elder.

Colin Rea, with a record of 9-3 and a 3.59 ERA, faced the Braves last week and did not get a decision. He has had success against Atlanta in the past, with a 1-0 record and a 4.70 ERA in four career starts. Rea has been solid this season, turning in a quality start six times and holding opponents to a .233 batting average.

On the other hand, Bryce Elder has been recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start for the Braves in place of the injured Reynaldo Lopez. Elder had a strong outing against the Brewers earlier this season, pitching 6 1/3 innings and allowing just one run.

Both teams are coming off disappointing series over the weekend, with the Braves losing two straight and the Brewers dropping four of their last five games. Milwaukee’s Rhys Hoskins is on a hot streak with a 10-game hitting streak, while the Atlanta offense has struggled to score runs in their recent games.

Despite their recent struggles, both teams remain competitive and are looking to bounce back in this series. Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy acknowledged the team’s challenges but remains optimistic about their competitiveness.

The series between the Brewers and the Braves promises to be an exciting matchup, with both teams looking to gain momentum and secure wins. Fans can expect a competitive and thrilling series as these two teams battle it out on the field.
