Brewers aim to continue home success vs. Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers are set to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in a three-game series at American Family Field. The Brewers, who have been dominant at home recently, will look to extend their winning streak behind the arm of right-hander Colin Rea.

Rea, who boasts an impressive 8-2 record with a 3.34 ERA, has been a key contributor to the Brewers’ success this season. In his last outing, Rea threw seven scoreless innings in a 3-0 win against the Colorado Rockies. He has been one of the team’s most consistent starters, posting a 5-0 record with a 2.56 ERA in his past eight outings.

Milwaukee has been on a hot streak at home, winning 22 of their last 28 games at American Family Field. They have also won their past nine home series, showcasing their dominance in front of their home crowd.

On the offensive side, Christian Yelich and Eric Haase have been leading the charge for the Brewers. Yelich, who was named an All-Star for the first time since 2019, has been on a tear, hitting .393 with three homers and five RBIs on the recent road trip. Haase, who initially did not make the big-league club this season, has been making an impact since being called up from Triple-A Nashville, hitting .455 with a homer and three RBIs in three games.

The Pirates, on the other hand, are looking to bounce back after a recent 8-2 victory over the New York Mets. Mitch Keller delivered a strong performance on the mound, allowing just two runs over eight innings. Oneil Cruz and Joshua Palacios provided the offensive firepower with a two-run homer and a solo shot, respectively.

Pittsburgh, currently sitting in third place in the National League Central, will be looking to gain ground on the division-leading Brewers. With players like Rowdy Tellez heating up at the plate, the Pirates have the potential to make some noise in this series.

Overall, the stage is set for an exciting matchup between the Brewers and the Pirates. With Rea on the mound for Milwaukee and a strong offensive lineup backing him up, the Brewers will look to continue their winning ways at home and secure another series victory.
