Astros ride home win streak into matchup with Rangers

The Houston Astros are on a hot streak, winning 16 of their last 20 games and making a remarkable comeback in the American League West standings. With a recent three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins, the Astros have now won nine consecutive games at home.

Manager Joe Espada praised his team for their perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. Despite a rocky start to the season and a string of injuries to their rotation, the Astros never lost hope and have fought their way back into contention.

Pitcher Hunter Brown will take the mound for the Astros in their upcoming series against the Texas Rangers. Brown, who had been on a streak of eight consecutive quality starts before a tough outing against the Minnesota Twins, will look to bounce back and continue his strong performance on the mound.

On the other side, Andrew Heaney will start for the Rangers in the series opener. Heaney has been solid on the mound, giving up three or fewer earned runs in his past 13 appearances. The left-hander will aim to lead the Rangers to victory and start a new winning streak after their recent loss to the Los Angeles Angels.

The Rangers, who have won seven of their last 10 games, will look to continue their success against the Astros. With three wins in seven meetings this season, Texas will try to improve their record against their division rivals in the Lone Star Series.

Both teams are gearing up for an exciting weekend of baseball, with the Astros looking to extend their winning streak and the Rangers aiming to start a new streak of their own. It promises to be a thrilling series between two competitive teams vying for position in the AL West standings.
