Grant Holloway continued his dominant run in the men’s 110-meter hurdles, winning the event at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon. The heavily favored Noah Lyles also made a statement in the men’s 200 meters, cruising into the finals with ease.
Holloway, who set a meet record with a time of 12.81 seconds earlier in the week, crossed the finish line in 12.86 seconds to secure his victory. He was followed by Freddie Crittenden in second place with a time of 12.93, and Daniel Roberts in third with a time of 12.96. The top three finishers in each event qualify for the Paris Olympics, provided they meet the necessary time or distance requirements.
In the men’s 200 meters, Lyles dominated his heat with a time of 19.60 seconds. While he comfortably secured his spot in the finals, he fell short of his national record of 19.31 set in 2022. Christian Coleman had the second-best qualifying time in 19.89, followed by Erriyon Knighton (19.93) and Kenny Bednarek (19.96), who both won their heats.
The women’s 200 meters saw Gabby Thomas, Sha’Carri Richardson, and McKenzie Long take the top three spots in their respective heats.
